Chris: “As a doctoral alumnus, I continue to reference and incorporate components of my learnings and experiences from Meridian in my daily personal and professional lives.”

Meridian University, with its ambitious curriculum development and diverse facilitator expertise, has formed a collegiate institution that is both pioneering and principally foundational.  The professional and elevated quality of learning starts from the top with their leadership, and subsequently filters skillfully through the core and adjunct faculty. I have always found classes to be not only engaging and transformative, but also adhering to a standard of excellence that I have not found at other institutions.  The resources, governance, and faculty at Meridian have always been there to guide me through advanced, and often challenging levels of thinking.  The courses themselves are content and experientially driven, pushing students to foster developmental, cognitive, and emotional growth.

As a doctoral alumnus, I continue to reference and incorporate components of my learnings and experiences from Meridian in my daily personal and professional lives. Because Meridian also focuses on the communal and business aspects of psychology, I have been able to use my education to advance and professionally interact in a multitude of cultures and social milieus, vocations, and organizational settings.

I am routinely tasked with coordinating complex collaborative efforts with the community to whom I serve.  Participatory leadership skills, communicative proficiencies, and the ability to access one’s own creative inquiry capacities are vital assets to bridging distinctive perspectives and cultures.  The principles of transformative learning that are inherent in Meridian’s curricula designs continue to be core resources for me.  Concepts and theories are enacted and actualized by the real-world applications taught at Meridian.  In an oftentimes unpredictable and volatile world, my education from Meridian finds endless access and place. In my opinion, Meridian has not just taught me about things or educated me about theories but has also taught me how to be and how to think in every aspect of my life. Meridian has dynamically developed and continues to develop pioneers in professional ingenuity, and I have been a grateful recipient of its academic training.
